Support for Caregivers

The UNC Comprehensive Cancer Support Program understands the importance of caregivers in the lives of people who have cancer and offers a number of services tailored for caregivers.

Caregiver Conversations meets every Tuesday from 3 – 4 p.m. in the Patient and Family Resource Center, ground floor, N.C. Cancer Hospital. This is a welcoming program designed just for caregivers of patients with a cancer diagnosis. Join other caregivers for coffee and pastries and learn from caregiver experts. It is an opportunity to share, ask questions and relax. It is also our way of thanking you for being part of the team caring for our patients.

We also host a Caregiver Education Series once a month in Infusion, third floor, N.C. Cancer Hospital, 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. This series covers information about clinic visits, the chemotherapy process both during treatment and upon returning home, side effects, nutrition and hydration, central line care and self-care.
