Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Cancer Program
UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center and the N.C. Basnight Cancer Hospital are proud to offer individualized AYA cancer support for adolescent and young adult patients facing a cancer diagnosis.
Teenagers and young adults have different needs than other cancer patients. Your cancer treatment affects your education, relationships, career, independence, fertility and more.
The Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Cancer Program works with patients age 13-39 to provide:
- One-on-one support
- Programs and events for patients
- AYA-specific financial and emotional resources
- Connections to peer support
If you have any questions, please contact the program at ayacancer@med.unc.edu or (984) 974-8686.
Formed in October 2015 from to the generous support of the Be Loud! Sophie Foundation, the UNC AYA Cancer Program is part of the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Support Program (CCSP).
