American Cancer Society – Road to Recovery

Road to Recovery offers free ground transportation to and from cancer-related medical appointments for people with cancer who do not have a ride or are unable to drive themselves.

The Helene Foundation

The Helene Foundation helps North Carolina families where the mother is undergoing cancer treatment. Services include delivered meals, housecleaning, child care, family support, and transportation to medical appointments. To qualify, you must live in North Carolina, have a child under 18 at home, and be in active treatment at a Triangle-area cancer center.

The Sisters Inspiring Sisters Incorporated (The SISI)

The SISI provides transportation to breast cancer patients for treatments and mammograms. The program began in North Carolina and now serves 16 states and Washington, D.C.
