Program Coordinator, Cancer Research Training and Education Coordination (CRTEC)
Barbara D. Austin, MEd, is the Program Coordinator for the Building Oncology Workforce (BOW) Programs for UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center’s Cancer Research Training & Education Coordination (CRTEC) team and works closely with Ashley Leak Bryant, PhD, RN, OCN, FAAN.
She supports the following programs:
- UNC/NCCU Cancer Clinical Research Oncology Summer Internship
- UNC Lineberger, Lauterborn and Piver Oncology Nursing Fellowship
She provides programmatic support for outreach to the HBCU and Native Serving Tribal Institutions to increase partnerships and collaborations in NC. Barbara graduated from Grand Canyon University with a Master’s in Education and is currently working on her Doctorate of Education in Organizational Leadership.
