Brenda Jasso Vazquez, BSW, was born in Mexico and moved to the United States when she was four years old. She was raised in Greensboro, North Carolina and continues to reside in Greensboro. She is a Patient Care Coordinator at Guilford Community Care Network. She received her Bachelor’s in Social Work at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Even before graduating, Brenda was already employed by Guilford Community Care Network as an Enrollment Specialist. When she started college, she became a Certified Nursing Assistant and worked a part-time job at an in-home care agency. In 2011 she served one year as an AmeriCorps member for the Thriving at Three program at the Center for New North Carolinians and in 2016 she worked as a Community Health Worker for the Immigrant Health Access Project.
Brenda has several years working around the healthcare field and working within her community. She is a continuous advocate for access to health and equality within the Latinx community and is currently participating in Other Voices through Greensboro Chamber of Commerce. Brenda is married and has three children. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and loves to walk at the park.
