Director of Patient Assistance, Comprehensive Cancer Support Program
“People often experience an interruption in their income, may lose a job, or may have to take unpaid time off work while they go through active cancer treatment. These non-medical financial needs can be devastating. Through generous donations to our program, we’re able to help with some of these expenses so our patients can focus on their health.”
Cindy Rogers, JD, director of patient assistance with the Comprehensive Cancer Support Program, manages a charitable fund that assists patients with non-medical financial needs. During active treatment, she can assist patients with household bills, rent, mortgage payments and transportation costs.
Also, with the goal of reducing barriers to care, Cindy partners with our legal community to help patients prepare advance care planning documents and provides referrals for other legal needs such as disability appeals and guardianship.
