Meet Emily Ray

Area of Interest

Emily Ray, MD, MPH, is a medical oncologist specializing in breast cancer with a research focus in cancer outcomes and cancer care delivery. Her research interests and ongoing projects include identifying and removing barriers to clinical trial participation and other cancer care, and understanding healthcare utilization and cost of care among patients with advanced cancer. Her training and experience includes the analysis of large secondary databases, use of qualitative methods, and quality improvement. As both a clinician and health services researcher, her research aims to improve outcomes for cancer patients and the healthcare system by increasing access to quality cancer care and decreasing low-value healthcare utilization.
