Area of Interest

Emily Pfaff, PhD, MS, is an Associate Professor and informatics leader in the Department of Medicine. She is Co-Director of the Informatics and Data Science (IDSci) core at NC TraCS, our CTSA, where she serves as a technical and governance leader for UNC’s local clinical data warehouse, and directs a team of 30 informaticians, data scientists, and project managers who together support hundreds of data-driven research studies at UNC and beyond. Her research interests and expertise includes computable phenotyping, clinical data modeling, and multi-site data harmonization.
