Janet Rubin,MD, is a UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center member, a Professor of Medicine, and a Joint Appointment Professor in the Department of Pharmacology, as well as the Department of Pediatrics. She is also an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Bioengineering and serves as the Vice Chair of Research in the Department of Medicine.

Area of Interest

The laboratory concentrates on mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) differentiation as it relates to bone biology. We are interested in how exercise and cell structure – cytoplasmic and nuclear – control MSC differentiation.
