Area of Interest
Jordan completed her Masters and Doctoral degrees in Exercise Physiology at UNC Chapel Hill between 2013-2020 under the mentorship of Claudio Battaglini, PhD, FACSM. During graduate school she led the Exercise Oncology Research Lab and was a member of UNC Lineberger’s Geriatric Oncology Research program where she was co-mentored by Kirsten Nyrop, PhD, and Hy Muss, MD. Jordan’s research primarily focused on the impact of exercise and physical activity on fitness and clinical outcomes in women with breast cancer. A highlight of her graduate program was the opportunity to train and supervise women participating in the UNC Lineberger Get REAL & Heel exercise program and share the experience and findings at international conferences in Brazil.
Following graduate school, Jordan spent a few years in orthopedic medical devices specializing in shoulder replacement and revision surgeries. However, in 2023, Jordan “returned home” to UNC for a wonderful opportunity to work with Lisa Carey, MD, ScM, FASCO, and support the newly established Triple Negative Breast Cancer Center. Jordan manages overall operations and is a liaison between the Center’s founders and all innovative research projects the TNBC Center supports.
