Dr. Stewart is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the University of North Carolina’s Department of Psychiatry. She is a member of the Comprehensive Cancer Support Program and provides psychological treatment for adults with cancer. Her clinical experiences include working in variety of medical settings with patients with a wide range of acute and chronic medical and psychiatric comorbidities. She has a strong appreciation for the complex interplay between biomedical, sociocultural, and psychological factors and outcomes. Dr. Stewart’s clinical interests include illness prevention and management, reducing healthcare disparities, and gender and sexual orientation diversity.
