Molecular Therapeutics
Area of Interest
In the Schoenfisch Lab, we work at the interface of analytical chemistry, biomedical engineering, and pharmaceutics. The types of multi-disciplinary research opportunities that are available include the development and study of:
- Therapeutics to treat disease
- Sensors that function reliably and continuously (real time) to facilitate disease management
- Microelectrode and microfluidic sensors for clinical, point-of-care, and diagnostic/prognostic applications
- New macromolecular scaffolds that manipulate biology and physiology
We are currently focused on developing local-acting therapeutics for skin cancers.
