Mary C. Anderson, MPH is a community activist, researcher, and patient advocate. Mary holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business and Marketing from Meredith College, and a Master of Public Health from the University of New England. She has been engaged in community outreach throughout the state of North Carolina since 1997. She has also served as Associate Director on several Department of Defense health research grants, Program Developer for a grant from the V Foundation for Cancer Research, and as an independent consultant on several grants awarded to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill by the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI). She is best known for her passion and dedication to improving health outcomes for cancer patients throughout the continuum of care. Ms. Anderson has received numerous awards throughout the years to this end, including recognition as a healthcare hero by the Triangle Business Journal and one of the top 10 women in medicine by Triangle Medical News.
