Area of Interest
As a physician-scientist specializing with a dedicated focus on global oncology, my research focuses on the multifaceted nature of cancer, acknowledging the interplay of biological, cultural, socioeconomic, and healthcare system factors that influence disease incidence, progression, and survivorship outcomes, with a specific focus on designing culturally-appropriate, effective, and sustainable interventions to improve cancer care delivery for populations in low-resource settings.
The primary pillars of my research focus include epidemiologic investigations, cancer survivorship, health systems strengthening, and community-based participatory research.
My overarching goal is to contribute to advancing knowledge in cancer biology, innovative treatments, and comprehensive support systems that enhance cancer care outcomes globally.
