Area of Interest

My research seeks to understand and address inequities in cancer prevention and control with a specific focus on the intersections of race, gender, and sexual orientation. I use mixed-method, community-engaged approaches to data collection and analyses. My current work attends to barriers to engagement in cancer care among racialized sexual and gender minority populations. The ultimate goal is to identify appropriate strategies to intervene on structures to advance equity in the cancer prevention and care continua.
