UNC Health presents a Benefit for Be Loud! Sophie Foundation with N.E.D. – No Evidence of Disease

All proceeds go to benefit Be Loud! Sophie Foundation, an organization supporting adolescents and young adults receiving cancer treatment at UNC Hospitals.

No Evidence of Disease (N.E.D) is a not-for-profit original rock band of five musicians/oncologists/surgeons whose music supports the global missions of cancer awareness, education and research. The band consists of: John Boggess – songwriter/vocals/guitar from Chapel Hill NC; Will Winter – songwriter/lead guitar/vocals from Portland OR; Gizelka David-West – vocals/keys from New York, NY; Nimesh Nagarsheth – drums/percussion from New York, NY; and Bob Burger – bass/vocals from Philadelphia PA.

While their experience as physicians informs their music, their message is universal, tapping into themes that touch everyone’s lives. N.E.D. has three albums of original music currently published and a fourth album in production including a single featuring Tom Morello (Rage Against The Machine, Audioslave, The Nightwatchman, Prophets of Rage). Their music is adult alternative rock, generally up-beat and danceable. Working with cancer advocacy groups and foundations they find time to play 10 to 20 shows a year in support of cancer awareness.
