Film Screening: “Cracking the Code: Phil Sharp and the Biotech Revolution”

UNC Lineberger’s RNA Discovery Center and the UNC department of pharmacology invite all trainees, faculty and staff to attend a screening of a documentary about Nobel Laureate Phil Sharp and the history of the U.S. Biotech industry. The event will start at 3 p.m. in the Kirkland Auditorium.

Following the film, there will be a moderated career discussion panel following the film with local biotech leaders and a small reception with light bites from Med Deli.
Panel participants include:
- Amy Morrison, head of manufacturing sciences, RTP-Bio, Biogen
- James Phillips, head of large-scale manufacturing, Biogen
- Ryan Strachan, associate director of translational pharmacology at Septerna
- Tracey du Laney, vice president, science and technology development, NCBC
