Free Head & Neck Cancer Screening

The UNC Department of Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery is hosting a free oral cancer screening at UNC ENT at Meadowmont (431 Meadowmont Village Circle, Chapel Hill, NC) on April 18 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for all adults 18 and older as part of Head & Neck Cancer Awareness Month.

Why get screened?
Symptoms of oral cancer can often go unnoticed, especially when linked to HPV.
While tobacco and alcohol users have long been considered the most at-risk for these types of cancers, cases have been on the rise among young adults and non-smokers.
Therefore, it’s important that all adults – not just those with traditional risk factors – get screened regularly.
