UNC Lineberger faculty were among the several UNC School of Nursing presenters at the Oncology Nursing Society’s 44th Annual Congress in Anaheim, California, April 11-15. Ashley Bryant, PhD, RN-BC, OCN, Deborah Mayer, PhD, RN, AOCN, FAAN, and Lixin Song, PhD, RN, FAAN, along with UNC School of Nursing’s Rachel Hirschey, PhD, RN, Ahrang Jung, PhD, RN, and Ya-Ning Chan shared their scientific findings and expertise on nursing education and the nursing profession, survivorship research, and the psycho-social and physical impact of cancer and its treatment at the meeting, which drew more than 3,900 members of the oncology nursing professionals.

Mayer said the number of UNC School of Nursing and UNC Lineberger faculty and students presenting at the meeting is a direct reflection of the quality, depth and breadth of cancer research being conducted at UNC-Chapel Hill.
