Research Study Group: Grant Writing Workshop

November 28, 2017 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Join us for a panel discussion on effective grant writing strategies. The discussion will primarily focus on the NIH F32 and ACS Postdoctoral Fellowships. Topics will include tips for writing successful proposals in general, as well as a comparison of how the review process by these two organizations is similar and dissimilar. We have assembled a panel of PIs who have extensive experience mentoring students in the writing of successful grant applications, as well as first-hand knowledge about what goes on during the study sections where these grants are reviewed. Panelists include Dr. Adrienne Cox, Dr. Al Baldwin, and Dr. Benjamin Major. These panelists will provide valuable insight and advice on how to prepare the best application package possible. First-hand experience about writing, the feedback received from reviewers, and the revision process will be provided by past-trainee, Dr. Kirsten Bryant. All current and past trainees are encouraged to attend, ask questions, and share their experiences.

Coffee and Snacks will be served!
