Research Study Group – Non-Academic Career Panel

Join us for a panel discussion on non-academic career paths. We have assembled a diverse panel of past T32 members who are all employed in the Research Triangle. Our discussion will touch on important topics including how to identify positions to apply for, how to make yourself stand out, and how to prepare for the interview process. Panelists will include Patrick Roberts (Director of Translational Medicine, G1 Therapeutics), Kathryn Tworkoski (Clinical Research Scientist, IMPACT Pharmaceuticals), Emily Vaughn (Senior Scientist, Affinergy, LLC), and David Scott (Principal Scientist, Epithelial Cell Biology, Spyrryx Biosciences). These panelists will provide valuable insight and advice on how to prepare and apply for non-academic positions, as well as what life is like following landing a position in the biotech industry.
