Research Study Group – Careers within the NIH/NIEHS

Join us for a panel discussion on careers at the NIH and NIEHS. We have assembled a diverse panel of past Lineberger postdocs, who are doing everything from leading research groups, to managing scientific programs, to managing funds for emerging research directions. Our discussion will touch on important topics including how to identify positions to apply for, how to make yourself stand out, and how to prepare for the interview process. Panelists will include Traci Hall (Senior Investigator, Epigenetics and Stem Cell Biology Laboratory, NIEHS), Aron Marquitz (Health Specialist, Office of Strategic Coordination, NIH), and Robin Broughton (Program Officer, Biodefense Drug Development Section, NIH). These panelists will provide valuable insight and advice on how to prepare and apply for positions within the NIH, as well as what life is like following landing a position. Furthermore, this event will serve as a great networking opportunity for anyone interested in pursuing a career in these agencies.
