Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research
The Lustgarten Foundation provides support for exceptional scholars and investigators in the field of pancreatic cancer research.
Distinguished Scholars
The Distinguished Scholars program supports world-class scientists, who are at the top in their field, and are at the forefront of today’s most exciting breakthroughs in pancreatic cancer research. Selected by The Lustgarten Foundation’s Scientific Advisory Board (SAB), each grantee will receive $5 million in funding over the next five years, enabling these scientists to purse high-risk high-reward science, dedicate more of their time and focus to pancreatic cancer research, and accelerate a path to a cure.
Application status: The Distinguished Scholar Award is given on a discretionary basis and is not part of our annual grant program.
Research Investigator Awards
The Research Investigator program funds talented scientists with historical accomplishments in the field of pancreatic cancer research. Researchers were nominated by either the director of one of the 68 National Cancer Institute (NCI) designated cancer centers nationwide or members of the Foundation’s Scientific Advisory Board (SAB).
