Jen Jen Yeh MD was recruited to UNC in 2005 after finishing her surgical oncology fellowship at Memorial-Sloan Kettering. She is well-recognized nationally as a remarkable surgeon scientist who maintains an active clinical practice. In 2015, Dr. Yeh was inducted into the honor society for physician-scientists, the American Society for Clinical Investigation and in 2018 was named an Oliver Smithies Investigator. She is the Vice Chair for Research in the Department of Surgery where she has established research infrastructure and promoted translational collaborations between surgeons and researchers from diverse disciplines.
