Population Science Research Support at UNC Lineberger
What is MaTRIC?
MaTRIC (Managing Teams, Research, and Integrated Coordination) is an innovative initiative launched in 2022 by the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center to enhance Population Science research productivity, particularly among early-stage investigators.
MaTRIC boosts research productivity in two ways:
- Provides centralized project management services for UNC Lineberger Population Science researchers
- Offers resources on effective research management practices at UNC Lineberger and UNC-Chapel Hill
Who can benefit from MaTRIC?
MaTRIC was created primarily to support early-stage investigators conducting cancer-related research in the Population Sciences at UNC-Chapel Hill.
Project Management services
Full or associate members of the UNC Lineberger Cancer Epidemiology (CE) or Cancer Prevention and Control (CPC) research programs are eligible to receive MaTRIC’s centralized project management services.

Resources
Any faculty or staff member affiliated with UNC Lineberger who is conducting Population Science research can benefit from MaTRIC’s resources on effective research management practices at UNC Lineberger and UNC-Chapel Hill.
