Request Services
MaTRIC provides centralized project manager support for those who need it.
The MaTRIC program is available to full or associate faculty members of the Cancer Epidemiology (CE) or Cancer Prevention and Control (CPC) research programs at the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center.
How can I access MaTRIC Services?
There are two ways to access MaTRIC project management services: the on-cycle intake form and the off-cycle contact form.
On-cycle Intake Form
During the first quarter of each year, MaTRIC sends out an email inquiry to all current faculty members of the UNC Lineberger Cancer Epidemiology or Cancer Prevention and Control research programs. This inquiry asks if anyone currently has or anticipates having project management needs.
This on-cycle period is the primary opportunity for researchers to join the next cohort of MaTRIC clients.
Complete the intake form by March 17 to be eligible to participate in MaTRIC’s project management services for FY26.
Decisions about which projects MaTRIC can support for FY26 will be made by April 4, 2025.
Off-cycle Contact Form
Between April–December, please use the contact form to submit an inquiry. MaTRIC will do its best to help identify a suitable person to assist with project management needs.
When should I contact MaTRIC?
The best time to contact MaTRIC about your project management needs is when you are writing your research proposal.
If you anticipate needing project coordination or study management services that would require 10–40% personnel effort, please contact MaTRIC.
As you are developing your research proposal, we can help:
- Estimate your staffing needs
- Provide a job description based on a proposed scope of work
- Offer a suitable MaTRIC PM, including curriculum vitae, to serve as a placeholder in your research proposal
Once you know the study or project will be funded, let MaTRIC know. We can then help to secure a MaTRIC PM to coincide with the start of your funding.
