UNC Lineberger’s Ashley Leak Bryant, PhD, RN, OCN, was recently named a fellow in the Gerontological Society of America (GSA), the nation’s largest interdisciplinary organization devoted to the field of aging.

The GSA awards fellow status – its highest class of membership – to recognize outstanding and continuing work in gerontology across a broad scope of activity, including research, teaching, administration, public service, practice, and notable participation within the organization.

Bryant, who is an assistant professor in the UNC School of Nursing, has served as co-convener of the GSA Research in Cancer and Aging Interest Group since 2015. She is certified in both gerontological and oncology nursing.

Bryant and the 88 other new fellows will be formally recognized during GSA’s 2018 Annual Scientific Meeting in Boston this November.
