The Chapel Hill community and UNC Lineberger have lost a dear friend. Chapel Hill businessman and leader Ted Seagroves was a long-time supporter of UNC Lineberger in the fight against cancer. Diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2012, “Captain Teddy” fought against the disease with vigor and was a strong patient advocate, frequently speaking to groups about the critical need for funding pancreatic cancer research.

Throughout his battle with cancer, Ted inspired us all with his positive outlook and commitment to advocating for all who have battled this devastating disease. We remember his legacy and invite you to do the same for this very special member of the UNC Lineberger Family.
