In a preclinical study led by UNC Lineberger’s Yuliya Pylayeva-Gupta, PhD, assistant professor in the UNC School of Medicine Department of Genetics, and postdoctoral fellow Rahul Mirlekar, PhD, researchers identified cytokine IL-35 as a major contributor to suppression of productive anti-tumor immunity and resistance to immunotherapy in pancreatic cancer.
