CHAPEL HILL, NC – Six new fellows have joined the Division of Hematology/Oncology.

Andrea Dean, MD, completed medical school at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI and completed her residency at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. Her research interests include translational pathology and malignant hematology.

Emily Jenkins, MD, completed medical school and completed her residency at UNC-Chapel Hill. Her research interests include malignancies of the lung, breast and central nervous system.

Adam Kuykendal, MD, completed medical school at UNC-Chapel Hill and completed his residency at the McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University. His research interests include outcomes research and health economics.

Keeran Sampat, MD, completed medical school at the University of Virginia and his residency at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. His research interests include myelodysplastic syndrome, acute myeloid leukemia and acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

Tyler Buckner, MD, completed medical school and a residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at UNC-Chapel Hill. His research interests include hemophilia and sickle cell disease.

Satish Gopal, MD, MPH, completed medical school at Duke University, his MPH at UNC-Chapel Hill, an internship in internal medicine and pediatrics at the University of Michigan and a fellowship in medical infectious disease at UNC-Chapel Hill.
