February marks Black History Month, which is a time to commemorate and reflect on remarkable Black trailblazers who have left enduring legacies by igniting a desire for hope and change.

The Lineberger Equity Council (LEC) also believes it’s a time to celebrate the achievements of UNC Lineberger colleagues whose daily contributions to the cancer center’s mission are immeasurable.

The LEC hopes you will take a moment to acknowledge your own personal accomplishments or send in praise for one of your coworkers. Black History Month pays tribute to past and current generations, and we hope this acknowledgment page highlights the imperative work of our colleagues.
