Non-Hispanic Black women with hormone receptor (HR)-positive/HER2-negative, lymph node-positive breast cancer had worse outcomes compared to non-Hispanic whites, Asians, and Hispanics, despite similar 21-gene recurrence scores, according to a study presented at the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium, held December 6-10, 2022.
Yara Abdou, MD, assistant professor at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine and UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, is lead author study, which was featured at the meeting’s opening press conference and as an oral presentation.
