UNC Lineberger’s Kirsten Bryant, PhD.

UNC Lineberger’s Kirsten Bryant, PhD, assistant professor in the Department of Pharmacology, was named a 2021 New York Academy of Science Rising Star in Cancer Metabolism. The designation honors Bryant’s work and contributions as an early career researcher.

She will attend and present at the 2021 Cancer Metabolism & Signaling symposium in April. The meeting will be held virtually and will feature presentations from a group of competitively-selected early career researchers to preview the next era of discovery in cancer metabolism.

Founded in 1817, the New York Academy of Science is among the oldest scientific organizations in the United States and has become an important and widely-respected contributor to the international scientific community.
