UNC Cancer Care and UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center are hosting the annual UNC Cancer Survivors Day on Saturday, June 10, 9:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. The event is open to the public and free and will take place at the William and Ida Friday Center for Continuing Education in Chapel Hill.

The event will feature a keynote address by Superior Court Judge Carl Fox and Julia Kemp Fox. The talk is scheduled to start at 10:30 a.m.

Judge Fox is a blood cancer survivor, and he and his wife, Julia, have been passionate advocates for increasing racial and ethnic diversity of the national marrow donor registry. Only six percent of registered bone marrow donors are African American. Patients are more likely to find a donor match from someone who matches their racial or ethnic background.

The event is free, but please register online or by calling 844-496-2287 to help us with our planning.
