Clarivate Analytics’ annual Highly Cited Researchers list included seven UNC Lineberger faculty members, whose scientific publications were among the top 1 percent most referenced from their field.

Seven UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center faculty members were named to Clarivate Analytics’ 2017 Highly Cited Researchers list, which recognizes researchers from around the world who published the most widely cited papers in their field.

The faculty members who made the list are:

“This is a wonderful recognition for these seven faculty members and it speaks to the overall quality and impact of the research conducted at UNC Lineberger as well as on the Chapel Hill campus,” said Shelton Earp, MD, director of UNC Lineberger and the Lineberger Professor of Cancer Research.

The listing, formerly compiled by Thomson Reuters, identifies authors whose research published between 2005-2015 has significantly influenced others in their field. The 2017 list names approximately 3,400 scientists in 21 fields of the sciences and social sciences whose studies were among the top 1 percent most referenced from their field.

This year’s listing includes 20 UNC-Chapel Hill faculty members.
