UNC Lineberger was well represented at the American Society of Clinical Oncology’s annual meeting in Chicago, May 30-June 3, with its faculty and trainees presenting research findings and participating in panel discussions.
In addition to sharing research data, the meeting provides an opportunity for faculty to hear talks on the latest research, meet with research collaborators and connect with colleagues from across the globe.
“The ASCO Annual Meeting is invaluable for connecting with colleagues, generating new project ideas, and understanding what’s happening nationally at other places with research and practice at this time of major changes,” said Ethan Basch, MD, MSc, FASCO, Richard M. Goldberg Distinguished Professor in Medical Oncology, chief of oncology at UNC School of Medicine and co-leader of UNC Lineberger’s Cancer Prevention and Control Research Program.
