The Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health has named UNC Lineberger member Stephanie Wheeler, PhD, MPH, as the 2017 recipient of its Early Career Public Health Research Award. The annual award recognizes an outstanding early-career investigator whose exemplary and documented scholarly accomplishments that advance the research mission of schools or programs of public health and improves the health of the communities they serve. Wheeler, who is an associate professor of Health Policy and Management at the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health, will receive the award at ASPPH’s annual meeting in Arlington, Virginia, on March 16.
