Ethan Basch, MD, MSc, director of UNC Lineberger’s Cancer Outcomes Research Program and a professor in UNC School of Medicine Division of Hematology/Oncology, was recognized at a ceremony in London on Oct. 2, for his work in patient-reported outcomes in the field of oncology. The prize, which includes a $20,000 honorarium, is named in honor of the Health Assessment Laboratory/Medical Outcomes Trust’s founders, John Ware, Jr., PhD, and Dr. Alvin Tarlov, MD, two of the world’s leading pioneers in the development and use of patient reported outcome measures.
