Claudio Battaglini, PhD, was honored by the Harvard Global Health Catalyst Summit organizing committee for his outstanding leadership in his integrative Exercise Oncology Laboratory and the Get REAL & HEEL Breast Cancer Rehabilitation Program.
Claudio Battaglini, PhD, is a member of UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center and Associate Professor in the UNC-Chapel Hill Department of Exercise and Sport Science.
The prestigious Lifetime Distinguished Leadership Award in Sports and Health was presented to Battaglini at the Global Health Catalyst Summit Awards Dinner at Harvard on Friday, April 28, 2017, in Boston, Massachusetts.
The award was established in January of 2016 to honor prominent individuals who exemplify transformational leadership, public service, and social engagement; while demonstrating a history of outstanding contributions and accomplishments in the elimination of cancer and to promote global health.
