Devon Blake, a graduate student in the laboratory of UNC Lineberger’s Channing Der, PhD, has been awarded a Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award Individual Predoctoral Fellowship.

The purpose of the Kirschstein-National Research Service Award predoctoral fellowship (F31) award is to enable promising predoctoral students to obtain individualized, mentored research training from outstanding faculty sponsors while conducting dissertation research in scientific health-related fields relevant to the missions of the participating NIH Institutes and Centers.

Der is a UNC Lineberger member and Kenan Distinguished Professor in the Department of Pharmacology.
