The new program will provide postdoctoral fellows the opportunity to train for two years with 23 faculty mentors at UNC Lineberger and Duke.

UNC Lineberger and Duke University are partnering on a program to train postdoctoral fellows in pre-clinical or clinical research focusing on tumor immunotherapy or stem cell transplantation immunology. The program is supported by a National Cancer Institute T32 training grant.

The inaugural fellows are Miranda Carper, PhD, Alan Chen, PhD, Nancy Kren, PhD, Eben Lichtman, MD, and Alexander Robeson, PhD.

Jonathan S. Serody, MD, of UNC Lineberger, and Nelson Chao, MD, MBA, of Duke are directing the program. Barbara Savoldo, MD, PhD, of UNC Lineberger, and Yiping Yang, MD, PhD, of Duke, will serve as associate directors.
