Breakfast Seminar: Christopher Flowers, Hematology/Medical Oncology, Emory University

January 16, 2018 @ 7:45 am - 9:00 am

In this presentation I will discuss clinical, epidemiology, and outcomes research in follicular lymphoma. I will draw connections between clinical trials research studies that inform the design and the data resources for population outcomes research. I will also discuss how populations research can be used to inform the design of clinical trials.

Dr. Flowers’ current research projects span three areas:
1) Epidemiology, outcomes, translational research and clinical trials in lymphoma
2) Oncology informatics projects developing an information infrastructure to support pharmacogenomics and cancer outcomes research
3) Medical decision analyses and cost-effectiveness analyses aimed at developing strategies to individualize care for cancer patients.

The Cancer Outcomes Research Program Breakfast Seminar Series is organized by Drs. Ethan Basch, Stephanie Wheeler, and Matthew Nielsen. Please arrive at 7:45am to join us for a hot breakfast buffet prior to the start of our 8:00am meeting. Parking is available at the Rams Head parking deck next door; we will give you vouchers to park for free.
