Breakfast Seminar: Kirsten Nyrop, Hematology/Oncology, UNC

April 9, 2019 @ 7:45 am - 9:00 am

“Patient and clinician reported toxicities in chemotherapy for early breast cancer”

Over the past decade, there has been growing support for patient-centered assessments of treatment tolerability as an important complement to clinician-rated toxicity using CTCAE (NCI Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events). Standardized reporting is now available through the NCI’s Patient-Reported Outcomes CTCAE (PRO-CTCAE).  In this presentation, we compare patient- and clinician-reported toxicities in women with early breast cancer receiving standard chemotherapy regimens commonly used in current clinical practice.

The Cancer Outcomes Research Program Breakfast Seminar Series is organized by Drs. Ethan Basch, Stephanie Wheeler, and Matthew Nielsen. Please arrive at 7:45am to join us for a hot breakfast buffet prior to the start of our 8:00am meeting. Parking is available at the Rams Head parking deck next door; we will give you vouchers to park for free.
