“Changes in Learning Healthcare in the Digital Era”

Robert Califf, MD, is the Donald F. Fortin, MD, Professor of Cardiology at Duke University School of Medicine and the Vice Chancellor for Health Data Science at Duke University. Dr. Califf was the Commissioner of Food and Drugs in 2016-2017. Dr. Califf is a nationally and internationally recognized expert in cardiovascular medicine, health outcomes research, healthcare quality, and clinical research. This talk will discuss the work being done by Verily in Project Baseline, which is creating a biomedical information system that can measure the spectrum from biomolecular, clinical, behavioral, social, and environmental data.

The Cancer Outcomes Research Program Breakfast Seminar Series is organized by Drs. Ethan Basch, Stephanie Wheeler, and Matthew Nielsen. Please arrive at 7:45am to join us for a hot breakfast buffet prior to the start of our 8:00am meeting. Parking is available at the Rams Head parking deck next door; we will give you vouchers to park for free.
