Ashley Leak Bryant PhD, RN, OCN is a translational nurse scientist focused on developing, implementing, and disseminating palliative care and symptom management interventions for adults with acute leukemia. She has conducted foundational research about the symptom and quality of life experience in adults with acute leukemia. She is a leader within Oncology Nursing Society and currently leads the oncology nursing fellowship program in the School of Nursing. Dr. Bryant has a passion to build and sustain capacity of oncology nurse leaders nationally and internationally and has led nursing efforts in Malawi with UNC Project-Malawi collaborators. She collaborates with the UNC Hospitals and North Carolina Cancer Hospital physical and occupational therapists and oncology nurses. In her spare time she enjoys time with her family and being outdoors.
