Kirsten A. Nyrop, PhD is Research Assistant Professor in the Division of Hematology Oncology and Deputy Director for Research/UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. Her research focus is clinic-based intervention studies in women receiving chemotherapy or aromatase inhibitor therapy for breast cancer, with a focus on symptom management through self-directed moderate exercise. Her research collaborations are primary with Hyman B. Muss, MD, but also with other breast cancer scholar/clinicians as well as faculty, fellows and residents specializing in other cancer sites. In her spare time she enjoys her family (furry and non-furry) and walking at least 10,000 steps a day.
