Rachel Hirschey, PhD, RN is a behavioral scientist focused on physical activity promotion in oncology. Her current work is focused on tailoring interventions for African American cancer survivors, using participatory approaches. She designs interventions that are suitable for implementation, and sustainability in oncology care. She currently serves on the board of Oncology Nursing Society, Triangle chapter. She collaborates with multiple other members of the Cancer Outcomes Research Program including Stephanie Wheeler, Ashley Leak Bryant, Jennifer Leeman, and Hanna Sanoff.
