Calendar of Events

Many cancer patients describe diagnosis, treatment and survivorship as a journey. At times, this journey can be confusing and overwhelming. With UNC Cancer Care, you are not alone. Support groups, social gatherings and educational opportunities for patients and their families are just some of the ways that we are here to support you.Click the "View the Cancer Support Calendar" for more information.

Special Events

The Comprehensive Cancer Support Program will offer Cancer Transitions: Moving Beyond Treatment workshops at TEN locations across North Carolina this September and October 2015, with more locations coming in the next two years. Cancer Transitions is open to cancer patients and their loved ones upon finishing treatment. The program combines information on nutrition, exercise, coping with stress, and your medical care. The programs run for 4 weeks. If you can’t make it this fall, contact the group leaders in your area to sign up for the Spring. For more information call 919-966-9519 or email mindy_gellin@med.unc.edu
