David Freyer, DO, MS – Dr. David Freyer is Director of the LIFE Cancer Survivorship & Transition Program in the Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, and is Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at the Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California. A graduate of DePauw University, he received his medical degree from the Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery, and completed his general internship at Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine & Hospitals, pediatrics residency at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, and fellowship at the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor, MI, where he also obtained an MS in Clinical Research Design and Statistical Analysis from the School of Public Health. Dr. Freyer’s clinical and research activities have focused primarily on cancer survivorship and control, as well as adolescent/young adult (AYA) oncology, health care transition, and patient-reported outcomes. He is principal or co-investigator on several funded research grants, and currently is Chair of the Children’s Oncology Group Adolescent/Young Adult Oncology Discipline Committee. His clinical expertise has been consistently recognized by citations in “Best Doctors in America.”
