Areas of interest

I am a health services researcher and patient-reported outcome (PRO) methodologist. Areas of interest and current research include: 

  • Implementation of PROs and other forms of patient-generated health data (PGHD) in oncology practice, clinical trials, and comparative effectiveness research
  • Evaluation of long-term symptom reporting with clinician notification to improve functional outcomes following sphincter-preserving surgery for colorectal cancer
  • Longitudinal registry study of pain in metastatic prostate cancer
  • Approaches for implementing electronic data capture of PROs
  • Qualitative research and psychometric evaluation for the validation of PROs in specific contexts
  • Outcomes assessment in palliative care populations
